Proposed format of Sports Day 2026
After the 20th Anniversary Sports Day and the UNLEASH - Sports Day 2025, the Management is considering discussions for the 2026 Sports Day.
DATE OF SPORTS DAY
10TH APRIL 2026 - FULL STOP!
The Management will hold the Sports Day on 10th April 2026. This is in par due to parent complaints that the Sports Day is too early and too rushed (28th February 2025). The Management themselves
The Management has decided April 2026 for Sports Day 2026, although they are open to putting the Sports Day in June or July 2026. April 2026 is considered a perfect time because Hari Raya has moved to March 20.
In 2022, 2023 and 2024, the Management had designated the month of June for the Sports Events. However, in 2025, the Management considered two options: March/April and June/July. The Management were divided; Ms Praveen and the CCA Department vouched for a June/July timeframe while the top Management led by Mr Chan Lik Hoong were in favor of March/April. Being advised by Puan Halimah not to hold Sports Day in that timeframe due to Ramadan and Hari Raya, the Sports Day was scheduled for February 2025. This caused brickbats from all quarters, and as such, the Management is deciding on new dates for 2026.
The Management is in favor of holding Sports Day in March/April 2026. There is also an option to put Nobel Cup days before Sports Day in 2026. The Management is also considering moving the Sports Day back to Panasonic Stadium, or keeping it in Bukit Jalil or another stadium complex. See "2026 Sports Day: Return to Panasonic or Retain at Bukit Jalil?" for more information.
JUDGING EVENTS FOR SPORTS DAY
The Management is planning on adding more judging events for 2026 in order to equalize sports and non-sporting competitions. Aside from the March, Dance, Banner and Cheer, the Management is planning on re-introducing the Notice Board Competition and Mascot Competition. They feel that with more judging events, they can utilize it to their advantage to counter Bullseye's athletic performance should Founder's Run and Nobel Cup be put into the competition.
The Management knows that Bullseye can do well in the athletics events. Although it is understood that Touchdown and Slamdunk have the most best athletes now, Bullseye can still regain its glory should the practice period for Sports Day last for at least 5 months before the event instead of around 2 months. The Management is planning a 50:50 split for both sports and non sports competitions.
SPORTS DAY ATHLETIC EVENTS
Nobel International School has entered the 'Three Kingdoms' period, in which the Sports Day, previously dominated by Bullseye and Touchdown, is added with the entrance of Slamdunk. The Management is putting more athletically-capable and skilled runners into these two houses, to counter the 10-year-long dominance of Bullseye.
In order for Bullseye to regain its dominance, the athletes of Bullseye must start training during the school holidays. They can train at home on guidance from Bullseye's top athletes. The training period must be lengthened, and this training can be integrated with the Founder's Run training to bolster stamina of Bullseye's athletes. The most important people, such as Aiden Yeoh, Choo Han Yi, Wong Pey Yi, Ong Zi Xin, Zoe Siah and Ssarvesh must be present in order to ensure a smooth and successful victory of Sports Day 2026.
The Bullseye members must aim to win at least the first and second places on the podiums. This is to increase the points standing for Bullseye.
FORMAT OF SPORTS DAY OPERATIONS
Revisiting the 2023, 2024 and 2025 Sports Days, three different dynamics approach each Sports Day, along with three different champion houses; Bullseye, Touchdown and Slamdunk. Each Sports Day consisted of different circumstances, and the Management intends to work out which method is better.
