How can Bullseye win Sports Day 2026 (with reference to predictions) via winning ONLY Founder's Run.
IMPORTANT ASSUMPTIONS IN MAKING THE CALCULATIONS
- No point is deducted or relocated from any other house among the competitions. In this case, Bullseye winning the events will not deduct any points from other houses. In reality, Bullseye winning will result in another house giving up their share of points.
- Bullseye managed to improve on the judging events and at least win ONE judging event and place second in another. In this scenario, Bullseye wins the Banner Competition and places second in the Dance Competition.
- The trend from the 20th Anniversary Sports Day and the UNLEASH Sports Day 2025 of Bullseye's deteriorating performance in the track and field events continue to falter in 2026.
- The scores for Sports Day is inclusive of the scores of the Founder's Run.
- The scores for the athletics events podium winners is 10 for first, 5 for second and 3 for third.
To win the Sports Day by winning only Founder's Run, the following needs to be done:
1.a) In the aforementioned link (click here), the points are as follows:
- Homerun (1590)
- Touchdown (1381)
- Bullseye (1161)
- Slamdunk (1015)
b) As the Sports Day 2026 is expected to include Founder's Run 2026 inside the tally, the Founder's Run stands a crucial role to contribute points to the Sports Day. Thus, crucial calculation of points is essential.
The 2026 Founder's Run contributes the following:
Participation - 2 points per student runner
Winners' tally:
1st place - 10 points
2nd place - 9 points
3rd place - 8 points
4th place - 7 points
5th place - 6 points
6th place - 5 points
7th place - 4 points
8th place - 3 points
9th place - 2 points
10th place - 1 point
c) To win the events, Bullseye needs to register every single member in the team. There is a total of 250 members in Bullseye, with 50 members from each year level. The predictions are as follows for registration:
187 participants from Bullseye X 2 points = 374 points
All participants from Bullseye = 250 X 2 points = 500 points
500 - 374 points = 126 points (a net loss of these points if 63 members opted out)
d) Add up the 126 points with the Bullseye total on the tally:
1161 points for Bullseye + 126 points (to make it full registration) = 1287 points.
This pushes Bullseye up to SECOND PLACE.
e) To strengthen Bullseye's hold on the scores, Bullseye must win all top 10 positions. This can be done if everyone trained for the 5km run.
10+9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1 = 55 points
55 points X 6 categories (Y7 Male, Y8/9 Male, Y10/11 Male, Y7 Female, Y8/9 Female, Y10/11 Female) = 330 points.
330 points + 1287 points = 1617 points.
This score puts Bullseye above Homerun (1590 points), allowing Bullseye to become the champion house of Sports Day. HAIL TO BULLSEYE, Hip Hip Hurrah!!!!!!!!
